We had the gas line on an old MSR Whisperlite crack while cooking along the AT near the Delaware Water Gap (NJ/PA border). After watching a geyser of flame shoot into the sky (and very close to our tents), my bro used his pack trowel to shovel enough dirt on top to put out the flame. Scary!

Started my career out of college as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher and after about 2 years took a 1 season break to ski bum in Colorado working at a Eastern Mountain Sports and caught the outdoor industry bug.
