The scorching run of 90+ degree days in the Front Range of Colorado did not deter about 200+ mountain bike enthusiasts from the surrounding area from descending upon the eastern Boulder County suburb of Erie to lay some new singletrack. This new area, dubbed Sunset Park, lies just east of downtown Erie. It is the newest expansion in a growing network of trails connected to the Coal Creek Trail and Rock Creek Trail, allowing for endless riding options from the foothills of Eldorado Canyon, to the suburbs of Louisville and Lafayette and now all the way to eastern edge of Erie.
The hyper-motivated team from Erie Singletrack Advocates has done a stellar job working with the town of Erie, CO, the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance and most recently with Xcel Energy and their Days of Service program to develop their vision for an easy access, all abilities, all activities trail system on the edge of town.
Our president (and Erie resident), Jay Getzel, headed out for the big push on Saturday, September 7th and helped to bang out 1.5 miles of new trail. Check out some great pics from the day!

Thank You!
Thanks for being there to support this community effort. As an Erie resident as well as a Mountainsmith retailer… THANK YOU!
